By simulating the United Nations, STMUN has strived to uphold the purpose of the UN and committed to educate and empower students to advance the UN’s Global Goals – economic, social, and environmental sustainability; peace, justice, and human rights; and global cooperation, partnerships, and solidarity. We empower students to transform our world by fostering communication, negotiation, collaboration, policy formulation, and coalition-building skills. Our conferences make meaningful connections between international issues and individual action, amplifying the impact from a local to a global scale. We nurture future world leaders by being a student-run conference with student officers, administrative staff, press, and team members who take on the demanding nature of their respective responsibilities. STMUN believes in the importance of work-life balance and provides opportunities for fun social events after a long day of substantive debate.
